Buckets of Hope Update - April 26

From Disaster Relief:

Terry Ryan, associate disaster relief director at the Florida Baptist Convention, reports that 14 shipping containers of buckets have made it to ports in Haiti. Haitian pastors and Southern Baptist Disaster Relief team members are eagerly awaiting word of their passage through customs. These 14 containers hold 20,508 Buckets of Hope filled with enough food to feed over 200,000 Haitians for a week.

They estimate over 150,000 buckets were collected all together so that is a lot more containers waiting to go down.  Pray that they clear customs quickly so that the food can get out to the people.  Sometimes in Haiti containers can get stuck in customs for months on end.  The Southern Baptist Disaster Relief specifically packed everything as uniformly as possible in hopes to bypass some of this process. God is good and has used the Buckets to touch so many people here in the US.  We pray they will soon be touching people in Haiti as well.
