We are currently not home and it has been a very long time since we updated the blog (other than the other day). Sam says we are getting lots of phone calls so we thought we would post something here and try to keep up with the blog over the next couple weeks to keep everyone informed.
Yesterday (Tuesday, Jan 12th), there was a 7.0 earthquake that struck Haiti. The epicenter was very close to the orphanage that the kids are from. The orphanage suffered no structural damage and all the children and staff are safe (PRAISE GOD!!!). There has been word that some of the staff's loved ones are dead. Please pray for peace for all involved especially staff and children but also for all of Haiti. It was very destructive. We will include a couple links to give you a better picture, let you hear it from "their" words not ours. God bless you for taking time to think of us and of Haiti and of GLA.
