Wednesday of our last week!

It is amazing to think that our four weeks are almost up already. It is almost sad. Time has gone by so quickly. We are all healthy which is a relief after last week. Sunday was our last sickness. I think everyone ended up in the bathroom for an extended stay one way or the other except Marceline. How that happened we will never know! We forgot how nice it is to have everyone healthy. Although about half of us are still being cautious of the food for fear of how it is going to settle on our tummies.

We have a new team this week. It is interesting watching the differences between teams and people.

Internet is up again at least for now. :>)

Thank you everyone for your continued prayer and support. We have definitely felt it. We are excited to see what the Lord continues to do in our lives. It has been a very rewarding trip in many regards.

We have such respect for the people who have given up of their lives to work full time down here. Some of them complement each other so well that you can tell it was a directive from God that they be here.

We are excited to come home. We are trying not to look to Monday to soon. We want to be sure and enjoy every day we have left here. Samuel still wants to try sugar cane before we come home. Mathieu wants to pick up a necklace on Saturday at the Mission (to match Todd and Samuel's). Cece wants to help the kitchen staff more. Todd and Margie have nothing left to do but continue trying to glorify God. Todd is teaching tonight...they do a Wed night service in the living room after dinner. Margie learned to make Pikliz yesterday...maybe you will get the opportunity to try some after we get home.

We were able to buy mud cakes this time. They look just like the pictures. Mike, I hope you are ready to try them. We bought one special just for you.

Love and miss you all!!

  1. good to hear how it is going. Jon hasn't been seen or heard from since getting the key to your place. Did hear a rumor that your dog is sweet, well-behaved and home calm and quiet. sounds like the opposite of camp Gregory these days!! Puget Sound having record breaking hot weather. We miss all of you.
